Costa Careyes
Only 45 minutes south of Vallarta by air, this 133-mile stretch of coastline encompasses some of the most dramatic, breathtaking scenery in the entire Mexican Pacific Coast.

A charming array of sophisticated, secluded, boutique resorts and hotels now grace this beautiful tropical coastline - including Las Casas de Careyes, Las Alamandas, Cuixmala, Hacienda Jabali, Hacienda San Antonio, and El Tamarindo (18-hole, championship golf resort).

These upscale hotels and resorts offer the visitor a rare combination of unparalleled privacy and ravishing scenic beauty. They are in a class all their own -- intimately charming, yet vaunting an extremely high level of service, in refined, tastefully landscaped grounds with stunning coastal views. Fly down for the day - or better still, consider really pampering yourselves with an overnight stay.

Cabo San Lucas
Approximately 2 hours away by air, Cabo San Lucas is situated at the very tip of Baja California. Once a safe harbor for pirates from the Orient, Cabo today is a bustling tourist center set against a backdrop of sandy beaches, blue-green seas, and spectacular volcanic formations, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific. Cabo is known worldwide for its excellent deep sea fishing and also for the entertaining seals regularly seen basking on its shores.

Morelia and Patzcuaro
Rolling green hills, mountain lakes, pine trees and wildflowers hardly fit a description of Mexico. But that's exactly how to describe the immense natural beauty of the city of Morelia. Lush and gorgeous, this city defines 17th and 18th century Spanish architecture. The downtown area is home to masterfully restored buildings and a graceful central square surrounded by museums and shopping, and the towns and villages on its outskirts are equally impressive.

Patzcuaro is home to some of the finest hand-loomed fabrics in all of Mexico and shop after shop is filled with elegant table linens, bedding and clothing in vibrant colors and of unprecedented quality. Indian roots run deep and aside from the paved streets, little has changed. The buildings here stand untouched in the colonial glory of their past.

Exploring the this magnificent heritage that lies within Mexico’s interior will forever change your perception of the beauty, grandeur and splendor that is at the colonial heart of Latin America. Experience the real soul of Mexico on an air adventure to these remarkable destinations.

San Miguel de Allende
Founded in 1542 by a Franciscan monk, San Miguel de Allende is one of central Mexico's most picturesque colonial cities. Declared a Mexican National Monument in 1926 the town was spared runaway construction and taught to conserve it's old, rich buildings, as a result of which, San Miguel still looks like something out of the 1700's.

To this day, the best way to really discover San Miguel remains to be by foot! Perched on the side of a mountain at an elevation of 6000 ft, this sleepy colonial town, surrounded by trees, flowers and hills, boasts an ideal climate to explore. And what a journey of exploration! San Miguel is a treasure-chest of steep cobblestone streets, tree-lined patios, elegant houses, hidden orchid-filled courtyards, magnificent churches and artisan boutiques.

Renowned for its unforgettable 'light', many famous artists have studied painting here at the Bellas Artes cultural centre. Handicraft shops and art galleries line the streets around the pretty main square. Quality is high and originality is unsurpassed, with some really imaginative art for sale, not only paintings, but metalwork (bronze, copper, wrought iron, brass, silver and tin), pottery, weavings, sculptures and hand-loomed tablecloths produced in the region.

Even the evenings bustle with atmosphere and anticipation! Jazz, classical guitar and folk concerts are common, year-round occurrences and fine restaurants grace almost every corner of San Miguel. A visit to San Miguel de Allende is truly a step back in time offering an adventure in history, art and culture within 'true' Mexican ambience!

Zacatecas
Founded in 1546 after the discovery of a rich silver lode, Zacatecas reached the height of its prosperity in the 16th and 17th centuries. Built on the steep slopes of a narrow valley, Zacatecas is not only a veritable labyrinth of winding streets but also a fascinating maze of artistic and cultural treasures that make wandering around the city a delight.

In 1993, UNESCO designated Zacatecas as a "Cultural Treasure of Humanity" because so many of the architectural and artistic monuments that fill the city's winding streets have been preserved and restored. Many colonial architectural jewels house museums including the Rafael Coronel museum with its world-famous collection of masks and nineteenth century puppets, and the Zacatecan Museum, with collections of Huichol Indian art, votive paintings and ironwork.

The Cathedral, built between 1730 and 1760, is one of the finest examples of Churrigueresque architecture in Mexico and a suspended cable-car trip between the twin peaks that bookend the historical center of the city takes you deep into the mountain where silver has been mined since the colonial era. A city with abundant charms and attractions, Zacatecas is a favorite destination for people who want to explore Mexico's cultural and artistic riches.

Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary - Michoacan
A flight of approximately 2 hours will take you to witness one of the wonders of the natural world -- the migration of the monarch butterflies. Millions of these beautiful mariposas descend upon certain areas of the mountain plains and pine forests every year from November until spring.

In an amazing migratory feat, these butterflies, despite their apparent fragility, fly thousands of miles from Canada and the USA to reach the warmer winter climes of Mexico. On every branch, tree trunk, and piece of ground in the Michoacan forests, they form a carpet of butterflies as far as the eye can see - making this a once in a lifetime experience.

Revillagigedo Archipelago - Specialist Diving Expedition
The Revillagigedo Islands are the most remote in Mexico, boasting a variety of endemic plant and animal species, and considered by many to be 'Mexico's Little Galapagos.'

Approximately 2 hour away by air, these islands were set aside as a biosphere reserve in 1994. They offer incredible diving opportunities in warm, crystal clear waters with fantastic visibility. Well known for their abundant sea life, including giant Pacific manta rays, dolphins, turtles, and sharks, the isles also provide an offshore winter breeding area for 'singing' humpback whales.

The Archipelago definitely rates as one of THE best dive sites in the world and is a mecca for any serious diving enthusiast in Mexico.
