Because the canopy adventure was new to all of us we were a little nervous with the first few zips but after those few it was like playing Tarzan and Jane flying through the forest! The only concern someone may have and should be aware of, is if you are afraid of heights or have a difficult time walking up hills with uneven stepping this tour may be difficult. The bridges were fun walking over but they swayed and could cause one to become slightly frightened. However, that being said, it was a wonderful experience, we felt safe and would love to do it again.”

Guided by Ube and staff they each enjoyed the excitement of that first leap into air and stepping off the edge to repel. Ube and his team of courteous, supportive and comical ( Adrian) professionals provided clear instructions on the do's and dont's and the safety requirements and kept the group of 12 moving along through the course. Our excursion started at the port in PV and included a boat, truck and mule ride to a height of 2,000ft above sea level.  The journey down included 10 +/- zip lines, two repels (one being a free fall) three rope bridges  and trails over, through and into some magnificent views, forests, streams and ponds. “Over the Thanksgiving Holiday, some of my family had the opportunity to take a cruise down to Mexico. While in Mexico enjoying the weather, we heard on CNN that our home town, Spokane Washington had received over a foot of snow and the tempertures went down to minus 18 degrees overnight. While on the stop to Puerto Vallarta, three of us guys wanted something to do rather than joining the ladies shopping in town. So, we signed up for the Canopy Adventure Park with Vallarta Adventures. They definitely make you feel welcomed at all times. The tour itself is a once in a lifetime experience. It is obvious that safety is paramount and that you are never in danger. “The Canopy Tour was without a doubt the highlight of our visit to Puerto Vallarta (July 2010) or any other destination for that matter. The professionalism and care demonstrated by company "C" led by HUGO enabled us to have as exciting a time as can be imagined. We were safely harnessed and properly instructed in the correct procedure of ziplining and rappelling. Instructions were crystal clear and accompanied with a demonstration that left no doubt as to what was expected of a participant. By the second zipline, and there are about (10 ) plus (3) rappelling descents, we were confident and fully enjoying the experience of Whooshing from platform to platform 90 feet above the tropical forest at amazing speeds which we controlled with the application of the instructions given to us at the beginning of the tour. As we climbed to the great heights of the canopy and zipped / rappelled down, Dawna became a little winded and since an arduous portion of the tour was up next Hugo provided excellent transportation for her to reach the finishing spot via "Donkey" ride as she caught her breath and viewed the lovely forest.I was assured that she would meet me at the end of the tour. As I continued the tour I started to walk in the direction of the others who had gone slightly ahead. Paula the guide was bringing up the rear right behind me to make sure that I was safe and as fast as I went whenever I turned around she was right there behind me step for step. I finally asked her how many times they did this a day and she said up to (4) and she was'nt even breathing hard. That blew me away. After an ascent up a long bridge that traversed the canopy rooftop and a zipline and a last rappel downwards the tour concluded. A feeling of accomplishment and the acquiring of two new skills overtakes you and you realize that you just had the time of your life flying through a beautiful tropical forest. Oh pictures, don't worry ! The photographer will have plenty of them for you to choose from which she will place on a cd disc for viewing. As the group celebrated the finishing of the tour Dawna came walking up to the group holding limes that she had the opportunity to pick while riding back to the base camp. She was safe and sound. As we ventured back to the hotel we knew that this was one experience we would never forget and would be back to do again very soon. Thanks again to company C !!! Kip and Dawna”
