Q: May I scuba dive in Puerto Vallarta even if I've never done so before?
A:
Sure! We offer Learn to Dive classes to everyone who is at least 10 years of age in-depth instruction with our diving specialists at a number of hotels in and around Vallarta. Lessons take about 2 hours and course completion prepares you for an one-tank dive at either the Marietas Islands or Las Caletas.

Q: What are the depths of the dives and how are they supervised?
A:
Non-certified divers can participate in 1-tank dives with a maximum depth of 40 ft at Las Marietas or at Las Caletas after completing a Vallarta Adventures Discover Scuba pool lesson before the day of their dive.

Certified divers are automatically entitled to participate in 2 tank dives up to a maximum depth of 60 ft.

Advanced divers can participate in 2 tank dives up to a maximum depth of 120 ft.

Supervision is 1 Divemaster to 3 diver pairs – buddy system.

Q: May I bring my own equipment?
A:
Although we provide you with all the necessary equipment for your dive, you may bring your own. However, this does not alter the price.

2. Be in good mental and physical condition for diving.
3. Avoid being under the influence of alcohol or drugs while diving.
4. Be over 10 years old, not be pregnant and not fly within a period of 24 hours after a dive.
5. To participate in the El Morro or Corbeteña dives, a valid Open Water Certification card and a previous dive with Vallarta Adventures - or - 50 logged dives are required.
6. An Acknowledgement of Risk will need to be signed before participating in any of our dive programs.

Q: Can I create a custom itinerary and/or book a private scuba trip?
