- Q: What kind of sailboats do you have?
We have a fleet of 3 luxury sailboats, 44, 48 and 50 ft. You can see full details and pictures on the "Our Fleet" tab above. All of our sailboats are single hull sloops.
- Q: I have never sailed before - does it matter?
Not at all. You can either sit back and relax and let the crew look after you, or you can learn how to sail. The crew will show you the ropes.
- Q: I'm a keen sailor - will I have the chance to really sail?
Of course - we encourage everyone to take the helm, and sailing conditions in the bay are very good all year round.
- Q: Where will we go on our sailing trip?
Luxury Sailing: That depends on the wind conditions, but typically we head to the north end of the bay in the morning past an area called La Cruz de Huanacaxle where there are some beautiful views of the coast. We let the winds take us to one of the many small and beautiful coves for a swim and snorkel while the crew prepares lunch. In the afternoons, the wind usually blows north to south, which gives us the chance to put out all of the sails on our return to the Marina.
Sunset Sailing: For the Sunset Sail, we head south out of the Marina. Hugging the coastline, we let the evening winds take us along the city of Puerto Vallarta and past the vibrant Malecon. We'll sail to Vallarta's famous Los Archos for a up-close view. You'll enjoy city views to one side and sun setting views over the bay to the other.
- Q: Where do your sailing tours depart from?
Our offices in Marina Vallarta; if you are staying in Puerto Vallarta, you can check-in the the Marina Vallarta center. If you are staying in Nuevo Vallarta, you can check-in at our center in Nuevo Vallarta and we will give you a ride to-and-from the Marina Vallarta center.
- Q: Where do you go for the Sunset Sail?
The winds in the evening are generally light, so this is a very relaxing sail. Typically we will head out to the center of the bay to watch the sunset and then past the town of Vallarta to see the lights and fireworks in the evening. You will return to the marina at approx 9pm.
