Looking for an immersive, small-group dolphin encounter that goes beyond a simple meet-and-greet? Dolphin Extreme is a 60-minute excursion that’s designed to give you just that. Your day begins at our world-renowned dolphin and sea lion center where you’ll get an educational class about marine mammals from our Specialists who will share fascinating facts about their physiology and behavior.

After you’ve been briefed, we’ll equip you with a mask so you can join our Pacific Bottlenose dolphins right in their habitat: floating, twisting, gliding, and diving alongside them. Dolphins aren’t the only mammals you’ll get to meet; however, you’ll also get the chance to have a hands-on encounter with our quirky sea lions!

This excursion also includes a complimentary 60-minute visit to Los Arcos National Marine Park to view Puerto Vallarta’s impressive rock formations. Dolphin Extreme is a free swim experience unlike any other in Puerto Vallarta and is one you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Our Dolphin Extreme includes a complimentary 60-min sightseeing visit to Los Arcos National Marine Park, one of the most iconic landmarks of Puerto Vallarta. This series of impressive rock formations is home to a myriad of endemic bird species, and definitely a must-see in the area.

Get on board a comfortable speed boat, and enjoy an exciting ride to Los Arcos. On your way back, you’ll also have the opportunity to admire the charming downtown Puerto Vallarta coastline and the hillside houses of the rich and famous. As part of Dolphin Extreme, you’ll also enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime hands-on encounter with one of our quirky and lovable sea lions. After one of our marine mammal specialists introduces you to the sea lion’s fascinating physiology and behaviors, it’s time to get up close and personal!

Dolphin Extreme Lets Us Learn from One Another

Swimming with dolphins is an experience unlike any other, but these encounters are about more than just excitement. Marine mammal researchers still have a lot to learn about dolphins and how to protect them.

When people meet these curious, intelligent creatures face to face - whether they enjoy a shallow water encounter or swim with dolphins - they are inspired to learn more about how human beings can care for dolphin habitats and support conservation and research efforts.

We Take Animal Welfare Seriously

Dolphins and sea lions need downtime just like people, which is why we limit the length of our Dolphin Extreme encounters and other wildlife experiences.

Our dolphins and sea lions spend less than two hours each day interacting with people and then spend the rest of their time playing and interacting with one another, working closely with our trainers and relaxing in a safe and stimulating environment we have created just for them.
