Our expert guides will share interesting information about these impressive marine mammals. You might even listen to the way they communicate via our unique hydrophones.

Designed for those who want to enjoy whale watching from the comfort of a steady and ample catamaran with all facilities on board. Spend a day in Puerto Vallarta, marveling over the most exciting migration of the ocean.

To close out on a high note, our Whale Watching Adventure includes open bar service and a Deli-style buffet lunch on board. You might even be lucky enough to spot whales while having lunch! Book it now; you deserve it!

After this great experience, we'll head back to our dolphin center to participate in the Dolphin Swim Adventure.

During this Dolphin Swim Adventure in Vallarta, Mexico, you’ll spend time getting to know and play with our friendly dolphins on a shallow platform before hopping into deeper waters and riding across our crystal clear dolphin pool belly-to-belly with one of these lightning-fast creatures.

Vallarta Adventures with Dolphins: Hands-On Fun and Learning

The sweet smiles of our dolphins make learning a treat! As part of this swim adventure, you will spend time learning about the Pacific Bottlenose’s unique anatomy and behaviors from one of our marine mammal experts.

You’ll gaze into your dolphin’s eyes, rub their smooth skin, and become so familiar with their quirks that you’ll feel like you’ve made a new friend.

Did you know that dolphins, like people, can have very different personalities? As you play, dance, and swim with a specific dolphin, they’ll be learning about you as much as you’re learning about them!

January and February tend to be the best months.
Vallarta Adventures has so many whale tours which is the best?
Our Mexico Whale Watching Photo Safari is ideal if you are looking for a specialized tour that offers the best probability of encountering Humpback Whales. Marietas Eco Discovery is a fun opportunity to combine whale watching with bird watching snorkeling paddle boarding and more! Las Caletas Beach Hideaway is great for families especially if you are travelling with little ones who will be amazed if we encounter a few whales along the way!
What kind of whales will we see?
Humpbacks are the most common whales in the Banderas Bay. Orcas are also seen in the winter and the least common ones include bride and minky whales.

Yes the minimum age requirement for our whale watching tours is 6 years old.
What is responsible whale watching?
Responsible whale watching in Mexico is the practice of ensuring that we follow guidelines to avoid collisions and stressing out or aggravating whales while on our tours. You can read our blog about responsible whale watching for more information.
Do I need to reserve in advance?
YES! Spaces are limited and fill quickly. In order to ensure your tour date/time we recommend booking in advance.
May I bring a camera or video camera to take pictures?
Cameras are only allowed in the observation areas they are not allowed in the lagoons. However we offer professional photos that are available for purchase after your experience.

The oils and residues from sunscreen (even biodegradable ones) are harmful to many marine species including Dolphins. Please use sun-protective clothing so you take care of your skin and marine life at the same time.

Although we provide areas to secure your personal belongings we recommend you leave all jewelry and small items in your hotel.
Why do you limit the number of sessions for people to interact with the animals?
Our animals’ health and welfare are of the utmost importance so we limit each session. These incredible animals spend less than two hours each day interacting with the public. The rest of the day is allocated to their private valuable training time as well as for play and social interaction.

Our programs have a remarkable and well-established safety record. The health and safety records of these kinds of programs have been continuously studied for over 20 years each time reaffirming their impeccable records.

No you cannot. Since the beginning of in-water marine mammal interactive programs in 1985 there have not been any instances of disease transmission between humans and these animals reported at any facility.

Before making a reservation please talk to one of our Adventure Advisors so they can better inform you.
