Your Introduction to Scuba Diving in Puerto Vallarta


Have you ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, this Scuba Pool training Session will let you try out scuba diving to see if you like it!

Led by our experienced, PADI-certified instructors here at Vallarta Adventures' PADI 5-Star Dive Center, Scuba training diving Pool Session gives you the chance to experience scuba diving in the protected environment of our swimming pool designed especially for beginners.

During this pool training, you'll gain the necessary skills for your first scuba diving experience in the sea! The Scuba Pool Training Session is the perfect program for beginners, and it's a requirement before your PADI Discover Scuba Diving.

If you find that scuba diving is something you'd like to explore further, you can always enroll in our more advanced PADI courses.

  • To participate in this program, please review the following medical restrictions to ensure you are eligible. Medical Form.

  • PADI-certified instructor

  • Diving equipment

  • Wetsuit (provided in winter months)

  • Please be aware that you must be at the check-in point 45 minutes prior to departure. Boarding will be closed 10 minutes prior to departure time.
  • Minimum age: 10 years old.
  • Expecting mothers are restricted.
  • Based on PADI’s flying after diving recommendations, beginner divers shouldn’t fly within 12 hours after a dive.
  • Guests with respiratory, cardiovascular, ear problems, hernias, or recent surgeries are restricted from participating.
  • Good mental and physical conditions are required.
  • Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed.
  • A swimsuit

Our instructors will show you how to use the equipment effectively and comfortably and how to breathe underwater. You’ll be amazed at how easy it is!

  • You will learn the basics you need to dive in the ocean under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor.
  • Learn the feel of wearing scuba equipment and how to easily move underwater while wearing it.
  • Find out what it's like to breathe underwater with a tank.
  • Learn Basic skills and safety regulations that will come in handy when you decide to take the next step with one of the PADI certifications.
