Conducted at our state-of-the-art PADI Five Star Dive Center in the beautiful city of Puerto Vallarta, this course is designed to sharpen your scuba diving skills so you can enjoy deeper, more challenging dives, providing you with the ability, knowledge, and confidence to fully immerse yourself in open water diving like never before.

It's open to adventurous adults and youths aged 12 and above, offering a truly unique opportunity to expand your diving know-how, get more dives under your belt, and further your underwater education, all under the expert guidance of our skilled PADI-certified instructors.   • To streamline your experience, consider completing your paperwork before your arrival in Puerto Vallarta.
  • Please be aware that you must be at the check-in point 45 minutes prior to departure. Boarding will be closed 10 minutes prior to departure time.
  • Minimum age: 12 years old
  • Expecting mothers are restricted
  • Based on PADI’s flying after-diving recommendations, beginner divers shouldn’t fly within 12 hours after a dive; certified divers shouldn’t fly within 18 hours after two or more dives in a day
  • Guests with respiratory, cardiovascular or ear problems are restricted
  • Good mental and physical conditions are required
  • Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed

PADI (the Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the international authority on scuba diving protocol and best practices. All PADI courses are led by PADI-certified instructors with years of experience in scuba diving and extensive experience with PADI protocol.

Our PADI-certified instructors have decades of combined scuba diving experience and unrivaled familiarity with Vallarta's dive spots. The PADI Advanced Open Water Course includes five adventure dives where you’ll get to explore the depths of Puerto Vallarta’s crystal clear waters. During your dives, you’ll have the opportunity to see vibrant tropical fish, gracefully gliding sea turtles, and larger marine life like giant manta rays.

With your PADI Advanced Open Water Certification, you can dive up to 100 feet (30 meters) deep.

This advanced dive course can be challenging as it will include advanced-level depths and currents. This program is designed to follow the PADI Open Water course, which is a prerequisite for this program.
