An Unforgettable Night
Arriving only by sea, Rhythms of the Night unfolds as an unforgettable journey: a scenic sunset cruise, an extraordinary live performance, a refined gourmet dinner, and a breathtaking natural setting illuminated by thousands of candles.
Rooted in the traditions of Jalisco and set along the Mexican Pacific coast, the experience takes place at the historic seaside hacienda of legendary filmmaker John Huston, between Yelapa and Quimixto.
Every element is thoughtfully designed to engage the senses, creating an immersive experience where gastronomy, art, and nature converge—unlike anywhere else in the world.

The Experience
The evening unfolds as a carefully curated journey. Guests begin with a scenic sunset cruise across Banderas Bay, where the glowing horizon, the rhythm of the sea, and—during the winter months—occasional whale sightings set the tone for what lies ahead. Upon arrival, a refined gourmet dinner awaits, crafted around the flavors, ingredients, and culinary heritage of the Mexican Pacific.
As night falls, guests are guided along candlelit jungle paths toward ALMA, a powerful live performance set deep within the forest. The show is a celebration of ancestral rituals, movement, music, and storytelling—an emotional and visual experience that honors humanity’s timeless connection to nature.

Gastronomy Rooted in Place
Gastronomy is a central language of Rhythms of the Night. Under the direction of Paco Ruano, chef of Alcalde, recognized among the Top 5 restaurants in Mexico and No. 15 in Latin America, the menu is inspired by the ecosystems of the Pacific coast and the agricultural richness of the region.
Local ingredients are paired with contemporary techniques and thoughtful presentation, creating dishes that complement both the natural setting and the emotional arc of the evening. Each course is conceived as an integral part of the journey rather than a standalone moment.

The Legacy behind Rhythms of the Night
Puerto Vallarta’s most iconic show, Rhythms of the Night, is built upon a rich artistic legacy. Its creative origins trace back to Debra Brown and René Dupéré, Emmy Award–winning choreographer and composer, and two of the key creative forces behind more than thirteen iconic Cirque du Soleil productions.
The experience later evolved as SAVIA, under the vision of Gilles Ste-Croix, co-founder of Cirque du Soleil, and Eugenio Caballero, Academy Award–winning production designer.
Today, ALMA is directed by Mukhtar Mukhtar, an internationally renowned creative behind large-scale productions such as Messi 10 and the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Under his direction, ALMA continues to evolve as a living, breathing work of art—deeply emotional, visually striking, and profoundly human.
