  • Expecting mothers are not permitted to participate in this activity for safety reasons.
  • Participation in scuba diving is restricted for guests with respiratory, cardiovascular, or ear issues.
  • Guests are required to be in good mental and physical condition to participate in scuba diving.
  • Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed to participate.
  • Following PADI's flying after diving recommendations, beginner divers are advised not to fly within 12 hours after a dive, and certified divers should wait 18 hours after completing two or more dives in a single day before flying.

PADI Open Water Referral is a program within the PADI certification system. It allows individuals to complete the theory and confined water training portions of the PADI Open Water Diver course with one PADI instructor and then finish the open water training dives at another location or with a different instructor, ultimately leading to full Open Water Diver certification.

After successfully finishing the initial training, you'll receive a referral form or documentation from your instructor. With this referral, you can then travel to another location like Puerto Vallarta, and complete the required open water training dives with a different PADI instructor.

Once you've successfully completed the four open water dives required by our PADI Open Water Referral Course at Vallarta Adventures and met all the certification requirements, our instructor will validate your training and issue your PADI Open Water Diver certification.
